Why we exist
Noel Mode started from a simple observation: men over forty have a surprisingly hard time finding what they actually want. The big chains are built for twenty-year-olds and the traditional outfitters are built for the man in a suit, and there is a gap in between.
Clothes for men who no longer need a suit but have no wish to look like a student. Jumpers that still sit right after the tenth wash. Trousers cut to be comfortable without looking shapeless. That is what we built our range around, not around trends but around pieces you actually wear.
What we look for
We work with a deliberately small range. Rather than listing thousands of items, we stay with the categories we know well: sweaters and knitwear, jackets and overcoats, trousers and denim, and footwear.
When we choose a piece we look at the fabric, the finish and the fit, the things you notice when you wear something and cannot see in a product photo. If a piece does not convince us, it does not go into the range. Sometimes that means a category stays smaller than it could be. We prefer that to a wide choice of mediocre pieces.
How we work
We are an online shop rather than a high street store, and that cuts both ways. The upside is that we do not carry the cost of a shop floor and can pass that difference on. The downside is that you cannot try anything on before you order.
So we give a sizing recommendation on every item, publish a detailed size chart, and give you 30 days to return. If something does not fit, send it back. Delivery is free across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Our customer service team is available Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 GMT and at weekends from 11:00 to 16:00, and we usually reply within 12 hours. Happy to answer questions about fit, fabric or delivery before you order, it saves us both a return.
